3 Years and Counting...

Today marks 3 years of wedded bliss for my man and me. In so many ways, the time has flown by because we've been having so much fun. But, in other ways, Brian is such an enormous part of who I am, that it can't seem right that I've only been his wife for 3 years. The Lord has taken us on a 36-month faith journey that we could've never imagined, nor planned. He's challenged us in ways that we never thought possible. He's grown us to be people that we didn't realize we could be. He's created love between us that I thought only existed in movies. The work of God in our life is beyond description. We are supernaturally cared for and held, and that, ladies and gentleman, is what makes a successful union. We realized as soon as we dropped our honeymoon luggage in the house, that this was going to be a ride unlike either of us expected. It would be better. And harder. And faster. And more exhilirating, challenging, and equipping than we could've conjured up in our wildest dreams. These pictures showcase the 4 Junes of our marriage. As I look back over them, a different wave of emotions comes with each one. But, the commonality is that God was good, faithful, and glorified in each season. I can't wait to look back in 50 years and say, "How good is our God Almighty, for He has sustained us and carried us! Look what the Lord has done! Praise be to His holy name!"

To my dearest love,
3 years down, 83 to go! Yes, I'm planning on us living to a ripe old age! You can't imagine the feelings I have in my heart for you. I never knew that it was possible to love someone so much in such a short time. I praise God for the tests of faith that He's given us, because I know, beyond the shadow of a doubt, what you're made of. In fact, a really wise man once pointed me to a prayer that embodies who you are. I'd like to remind you:

Brian, you are part of the "Fellowship of the Unashamed."
The die has been cast. You've stepped over the line.
The decision has been made. You, Brian, are a disciple of Jesus Christ.
You don't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or sit still.
Your past is redeemed, your present makes sense, and your future is secure.
Brian, you are finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, chintzy giving, and dwarfed goals.

You no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity.
You now live by presence, lean by faith, love by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power.
Brian, your pace is set, your gait is fast, your goal is heaven, your road is narrow, your way is rough, your companions are few, your Guide reliable, and your MISSION is clear.

You, Brian, cannot be compromised, deterred, lured away, turned back, diluted, or delayed.

Brian, you do not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

Brian, you are a disciple of Jesus Christ. You will go until Heaven returns, give until you drop, preach until all know, and work until He comes. And, when He comes to get His own, He will have no problem recognizing you. Brian, your colors are clear.

I love you so much!
