I am one blessed woman tonight. I come to you with a full heart and a sticky body from sweating away another Texas Memorial Day. I am so thankful for all of those who have given their all to allow me to have freedom to play. What a blessing, indeed!
We started our day off with brunch at Brian's parents' house. Unfortunately, I forgot to take my camera, and I don't have a single photo to document our fun time with them.
Then, we went to my parents' house for our 5th annual (am I right about 5th annual, Mom?) Memorial Day Celebration. My mom and stepdad go all out to make a great time for us. Thanks, guys! Here are some glimpses of all the fun we had:
Me and Brian (I'm the one on the left, if the haircuts are throwing you. :)
Ashley and Brian
Granny and Maddox. What a sweet picture!
Granny and Papaw. These are Hensley's namesakes. They have been living the life that God has called us to live for 53 years this June. Thank you for your example of a Godly marriage. We learn so much just from watching you guys live.
Me and Mom
The Party Pooper. She wasn't sure about all the festivities.
Water Balloon Fight! Mom demanded 100% participation, and it was so fun!
They were so patiently trying to explain the objective of water balloons.
Sweet Angels. Their Aunt Lindsey loves them so.
"Wanna pretend that this is a big purple shark, Hensley?" They play so cutely together.
Another fun marshmallow game.
A Brian Sandwich.
Hensley thought Madd looked cool between the 2 Brians, so she wanted her own turn.
P90x is where it's at!
The last event of the Memorable Memorial Day event - a 3-legged race.
Men are so logical. They danced their way to the finish line and beat the pants off of us!
Papa, the balloon artist.
Uncle Brian blows his brains out for the sake of a balloon.
The hostess with the mostess!
Let me tell ya, this Nana knows how to play!
I think they made up this game. I'm not really sure what this is all about.
My mother's gardening gift could be featured in Southern Living. Her yard is beautiful!
Family Pic. Not the best shot, but we're all there.
Thank you, Lord, for sweet family time!
