On the road again...

Good Morning, Dear Friends!

I'm squeezing in a brief moment between time in the Word and packing my tired suitcase to send you a word of encouragement from the Lord.

This year, I decided to start the year off right by reading through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I've done this several times before, and God always seems to show up and breathe life into His stories of old when I take the time to meditate on Him. My focus on this journey is to hone in on God's promises and character. I want to really take the time to SEE Him through His word.

Anyway, enough about me. This morning, I was reading through the story of Abraham and Sarah (Genesis 12-17). One thing that struck me as I read was that Abraham followed God's lead, even though He didn't know where He was leading Him. God just said, "Go to the land I will show you" (Genesis 12:12). And, not only that, but he worshipped God before he received His blessings (12:8 and 13:4). How often do we do that? I know that I'm very quick to praise God and say, "Thank you! Thank you!" after I receive a blessing or a promise is fulfilled. But, do I stand in faith and praise Him for His blessing BEFORE it's fulfilled?

God promised Abraham that he would become a great nation, that he would become famous, that he would be a blessing to others, that He would bless those who blessed Abraham and curse those that cursed him, and that all the families on earth would be blessed through him. (Genesis 12:2-3)

Those are some big promises! And, Abraham, through faith, just worshipped God because he BELIEVED that God would make good on them.

This convicted me, and challenged me to say, "God, I worship you because you ARE healing me! I praise you for your power over Satan's attack on my physical body. I TRUST you to bring about supernatural health."

Skeptics would think, "Lindsey, that's ridiculous. Facts are facts. Science is science."

But, I say, "With God all things are possible. Just like he protected Noah from death and allowed Abraham and Sarah to conceive against all odds, I believe the same victorious God is healing me, day by day!"

Now, I want to challenge you. What do you need to be worshipping God for today? Do you have an impossible situation that is only possible with God's intervention? Praise Him for His perfect care.

The nitty gritty-

1. Please pray for safe travel for Dad and me as we go back to Houston today. Due to insurance approval, my MRI was rescheduled for tomorrow, so we came home last night. We are headed back this afternoon. We'll be traveling back home tomorrow evening.

2. Pray that God would keep me in perfect peace, worshipping Him, and resting in His healing power in me as I go through an MRI and PET scan tomorrow. I usually experience the greatest spiritual warfare as I'm undergoing these tests. Pray that my mind would be set on Him and His victory over my cancer.

3. Pray for Dr. Alvarez as he works through the test results and devises a treatment plan. Ask God to enlighten and inform him, that the plan would be truly the Lord's and not man's.

4. Stand in faith with me that God IS bringing about healing in my physical body. Would you pray this passage over me?

Psalm 118:17-21

I will not die; instead, I will live
to tell what the Lord has done.
18 The Lord has punished me severely,
but he did not let me die.

19 Open for me the gates where the righteous enter,
and I will go in and thank the Lord.
20 These gates lead to the presence of the Lord,
and the godly enter there.
21 I thank you for answering my prayer
and giving me victory!

To God be the GLORY!

Precious Jesus,
I couldn't wait to come before your throne with specifics for Lindsey. You get my daily requests for healing but today, I am specific. Lord, I am asking for safe travel. For special Daddy/Daughter time, safe travel. You put that relationship together and I pray that you will make this time special between them. Keep them safe. Great Physician I pray that you will continue to heal her physical body. She has many blessings to continue to tell about your healing and miracles in her life. Please let her tell of your mighty works. Be with her doctors and give them the wisdom and knowledge of treatments known and unknown. Let them see the future with Lindsey. Please keep us all focused on you and not the science of the disease. Keep us focused on you and not the world. Help us all to stay strong in our Faith. We love Lindsey Lord and we love you more! Amen!
Storming His Throne on your behalf!

I am reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation this year, too! It's the first time for me, but I have already seen so many things.

I'm praying for you and your family!

Praying, and I am also praying this scripture over you:

"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."
I Corinthians 10:5

That even in your tests your thoughts will be made obedient to Christ and keep satan far from the battlefield that is your mind. This verse has really helped me and I am praying it over some people, myself, and now YOU! (-:

Lindsey - I've had numerous brain MRIs and PET scans and always (no matter what the test is) close my eyes the minute I lay down and don't open them until it's over. The whole while I'm "seeing" my guardian angels surrounding the machine, tending to me, caring for me, reassuring me. I invoke them, as well as my mother and father (both deceased) and of course, God and Mother Mary. It helps take my mind off what's going on. Also during a PET scan I picture my body as a CHRISTmas tree - with NO lights!

I do believe they're there with me! I also, every time, look for my "angel of the day" in my caregivers, and always find one! When I do I let them know, and thank them.

I prayed for you today many times as I'd look at the clock, and will again tomorrow.

I am not saying you WILL be healed. I am saying YOU ARE HEALED. I put it in the present, not the future! : )

In spirit,
