I beg you...

Hi, y'all!

I'm coming to you from the comfort of a hotel bed this evening. Brian and I made our way back to Houston today, and all the hotel had was a room with 2 double beds. So, Brian is spralled out across his and I'm cozied up in mine. And, it's just as well because I just finished eating my weight in ice cream.

Have you heard of a store called Hubbell & Hudson? It's a lot like Whole Foods or Central Market. Anyway, Brian and I had the wonderful privilege of stopping in The Woodlands to visit with some sweet friends, and we made a stop in this fun store. I found organic, dairy-free, agave sweetened cappucino ice cream. So, of course I bought some with Brian's money (ladies, this is the best way to shop!). I kid, what's his is mine, and what's mine is mine. Er, uhhhh, something along those lines. :)

We just assumed we'd have a mini-fridge. But, we don't! So, we had to eat it all. I'd feel terrible about being wasteful. Now, my stomach is telling me that maybe it woulda been okay to waste just a bit! And, I'm thankful for my own space to spread out and allow my tummy ache to reside.

Now, betcha didn't care about any of that, did you?

Okay, so my real purpose in coming to you this evening is two-fold.

1. If you don't have a spiritual family (i.e. Church home or Sunday school class), you simply MUST find one. Our class has literally hoisted us up on their shoulders and carried us through trial after trial. We love them so! It's been interesting because I believe there is only us and one other couple among many who don't have children. Sometimes I used to think, "I've got NOTHING in common with these people! When babies move in, all else moves out!" But now, I realize that Christ is the commonality. If we are saturating our lives with Him then our interests and pursuit is the same - to love God and love people.

Today, those precious people circled around us and laid their hands on us, and prayed for us. They've cried with us, laughed with us, and championed us to deeper faith. I love each one so much! If you don't have a group like this, get one! Get one ASAP! Your life will never be the same!

2. Can you pray for me at 8:20 tomorrow morning? This is my appt time. We should be receiving test results and treatment options. We need the Lord to step in and carry us through this one. More than anything, we want Him to be glorified in the most magnificent way.

Okay, folks, that's about as much as I can type from my phone. I don't care for blogging this way. I NEED an iPad. Yes, it's a necessity. Now, if money just grew on trees...

I love you. I can't wait to update you tomorrow with God's blessings over the day! I KNOW we will see His glory in a big way!
