The Best!

Mark it down! I'm updating my blog 2 days in a row! That's sorta unheard of these days, isn't it? I've just been suffering from a bad case of writer's block and an even bigger case of laziness. Forgive me. I'm going to try hard to do better.

Today has been a long day. I woke up without much of a voice this morning. And, I do use the term "woke up" rather loosely. I had the most restless night of sleep that I've had in a long time. So, when my alarm chimed at 6AM, I was rather distraught about the idea of getting up. It felt like I'd only been asleep for a few minutes. I woke Brian up with my tossing and turning in the middle of the night. I was freezing......and thirsty........and in need a bathroom break.........and stopped up in my nose. Just all around uncomfortable.

My kind husband offered to get up and get me some water. He also turned on the heater, put another blanket on the bed, and got me the heating pad to warm me up. He's a keeper, fo sho! He knew that I wasn't feeling well, and he's always so good about taking care of his little lady when I'm under the weather.

After suffering through the getting ready process (I detest getting ready for work), I managed to drag myself to school. I had a meeting, visited several classrooms, and prepared for a training that is scheduled for tomorrow. Then, I was out of there. I felt like absolute trash.

Brian was ahead of me on the return to home, so he stopped by the store.

When I got home, I found this wonderful surprise - a softie! It's a much cozier version of a Snuggie. I call it a tater sack.

It took us about 15 minutes to figure out how to put it on correctly, but once I did, it was heavenly! Brian said, "Now you'll be warm!" Again, you'll never find a man like mine!

Then, he made me some homemade split pea soup for dinner, and it was delicious!

That Brian's quite a guy! I think I'll keep him.

Your man is a sweetie, for sure. Your softie does look a lot comfier than a Snuggie, more stylish, and it DEFINITELY looks like a tater sack! Funny!

I showed my hubby the picture of the softy. I love it.

Isn't it wonderful that the Lord has blessed us with the best husbands for us?

I love mine more each day.
