Black and White

You know what? I am so thankful that, with the Lord, things are either black or white. There is no gray area with Him. We either trust Him completely. Or, we don't. He is sovereign. He is good. He is trustworthy. So, I either choose to believe this, or I don't. It's that simple.

Or, is it?

I think sometimes, myself included, we tap into this idea that if we truly believe in Christ, then we'll never have doubt.

Y'all, I've got a news flash for all of us. We WILL have moments of doubt. We WILL have moments of restlessness. These go hand-in-hand with our sinful human nature.

But, these moments give us opportunities to glorify the Lord. They give Him the chance to turn our worry into His glory, to transform us by the renewing of our mind.

In fact, it's not so much our ability to be worry-free that marks us as followers of Jesus, but our total dependence on Christ's renewal of our mind that makes us his true disciples.

This is what's resting heavily on my mind this evening, as I sit exhausted from a full day of work.

One of the best parts of knowing the Lord is His ability to take our worry. There is freedom in submission.

Hi, remember me? I'm Leslie Bunt's grandmother, JoJo. I had just had you on my mind and clicked on to your blog and was truly blessed when I read it. I think of you often and ask Leslie how you are doing. Please know you are in prayers always.
