The Sleepover

Remember back to last week when Maddox and Hensley came over for the night? What fun we had! I promised to share pictures, so here you go...

On our way home from picking up the munchkins, we stopped by the grocery store for dinner. Maddox wanted corn dogs and french fries, so that's exactly what we got for them to eat. Please notice Hensley's seat. Our house is not exactly baby-friendly, but we made it work. Obviously, we are very casual people.

Uncle Brian is a kid at heart, and Maddox and Hensley are always captivated by him when they come over. I'm not sure he's the best influence on table manners, but that's why we make a great uncle and aunt. :) Maddox seems intrigued, yet unsure.

He joined the fun. Again, not the best influence on table manners.
After dinner, we did the whole bath routine. I didn't get any great pictures because it was too dark. Maddox loves to make use of our laundry chute and jet tub. I think it's worth coming just for those things.

A gourmet breakfast of O.J. and cinnamon toast.
That's some serious bed hair!
I know it looks like all we did was eat, but we did a few other things, too. The problem was that it rained every second that they were at our house, so most of our plans were crushed! I had to get really creative in my entertainment skills.

Making popcorn on the stove.
We didn't need a whisk, but it just looked so darn fun, that Maddox couldn't resist using it.
And, a movie in the man cave. We declared it a PJ day.
Last, but not least, we put our artistic skills to work. We played with clay, crayons, markers, glue, pipe cleaners, construction paper, etc.. And, Disney music made the perfect soundtrack for our creativity.
We also played superfriends, danced, threw things over the balcony, played dominoes, and wrapped a gift. You should've seen my house after our day! We had great fun! Although, I do hope the weather cooperates next time. We really wanted to go to the blueberry farm to pick blueberries.

I gained a whole new perspective into the life of a stay-at-home mom. Whew! What a tiring job!
