This year for Fathers' Day, Brian and I had my family over for lunch. It was great fun! Here are some of the special moments from the day.
Brian and Maddox fly a kite. You can see that Maddox is more comfortable laying in the grass. And, this picture gives you a good glimpse of the dismal state of our grass. It isn't like this everywhere, some places are worse, but some are better, too. I'm finding that growing grass isn't as easy as one might guess. But, isn't our neighborhood neat? You can kind of tell from this picture that our neighborhood sits way up on the top of a big hill.My handsome man can do anything, even fly a kite when there is no wind.
Dad and Chelsey pose for a pic.
We climbed on top of the rocks. Maddox wanted to race to the top, so we did.
Sweet little Hensley kept walking around saying, "Ho-it". This was her Texan version of "hot".
Like our extra table? You do whatcha gotta do when you need more seats!
Brian flashes a smile!
Hensley actually got to sit at the table for this occasion. No more counter sitting for her!
The masses fix their plates. This kind of gives you some perspective of our house. The big door on the left is the laundry room, which leads to the 1/2 bath and mudroom. The archway on the right is the staircase and guest room.
Sisters sharing a moment on the hammock. It's a good thing they're both skinny minnies!
Since my birthday was on Friday, I got a few gifts, too! I think I was in the middle of a word for this picture!
Maddox was helping me open my gifts.
And, he helped Dad open his, too. Such a little helper!
Grandma takes it all in. This is Dad's mom.
Sweet Chelsey was so tired. She had just returned from an all-night bus ride with a church trip.
It was a fun day, and we look forward to many more special memories at home!
