A few days ago, I realized that I was no longer snapping pictures like I used to. It made me sad. I love to go back and look at the pictures of our regular, old daily life. It's amazing the memories and feelings that a single picture can create. Anyway, since then I've left my camera out on the counter, so that I will remember to pick it up more often.
Here's what has been transpiring on Pleasant Drive:
Baking. I'll have to admit, these cookies look much better in a photo than they tasted. Silly me. I learned a valuable lesson about gluten-free baking. You canNOT substitute one flour for another. Just stick to the recipe next time, Lindsey :)Landscaping. We've been toiling away in the dirt around our house. Actually, it's sand. It's like quicksand, so my flowers better grow and prosper. Now, I just can't wait for the plants to mature. This flower bed is on the side of our house, but it's the first thing you see when you drive into our neighborhood.
This is actually the front of our house. We put in those three flower beds this past weekend. The shrubs were already there, and I realize they need some work. And, see that big empty spot to the left of the window? Well, I planted hydrangeas there, and they are doing quite well. But, right now it looks so bald. It's all a work in progress...
Ice cream. Coconut ice cream. Dairy-free. Sugar-free. Tasteful!
Mulch. Is that not the biggest load of mulch? And, this was only half of it!
So, I guess gardening and eating have pretty much taken over our life these days. So fun. So rewarding. So wonderful.
Have a blessed day!
