I hope that the sun is flooding your homes this morning, just as it is flooding mine! What a beautiful reminder that the Lord will flood our lives, if we only allow Him to.
I appreciate each of you so much. Your comments and thoughts to me are what keep me encouraged and strong. In fact, I'll have to tell you that as I was sitting in the pre-op area yesterday, one of the last things I did before going into surgery was read my blog comments. You are precious to me.
I won't bore you with all of the details about this surgery, but I'll just say that, though it was long and intricately involved, it went very well. I have a beautiful result, and I'm feeling that recovery is just around the corner.
I usually wake up and become alert very quickly after surgery, but I had a much more difficult time yesterday. I'm not sure if they moved me to the second phase of recovery a bit prematurely, or what, but I felt like going home was the last thing that I needed to be doing. After overcoming what seemed to be the impossible feat of getting home, Brian gently ushered me into the bed where I spent the remainder of the night.
This morning, I'm feeling pretty sore, but not terrible. I got up and ventured downstairs where I made myself a smoothie. Brian would want you to know that he was completely willing to make it for me, but I was adamant that I "do it myself". I just wanted to test my abilities.
So, know that your prayers for a wonderful surgery and a beautiful cosmetic result have been answered. And, I truly believe that recovery will be quick. I do have 2 drains from this surgery, so they are slowing me down a bit, but I don't think that I'll have them for long.
I appreciate your continued intercessions for a complete return to health and wellness.
May you all be richly blessed!
