Home Sweet Home

A little less than a year ago, Brian and I became homeless - in a good way. After just a couple of weeks on the market, our home sold, for cash. The deal was quick and easy, and a total God thing.

Because of a quick sell, chemotherapy, and a few other glitches, Brian and I decided to rent a house, rather than try to buy one at the same time that we were working through a sell.

Again, the Lord provided a comfy home for us to hang our hats. For the past few months or so, we have been keeping our eyes open for our next residence - one that we could purchase and make our own.

Last week, Brian came across an intriguing listing online. He made a phone call, and arranged for us to see the house the following day.

As soon as we drove up, we felt at home. There are several specific things that we've been looking for in a house, and this gem had all of them. It's a totally different style than either of us have ever lived in, and we're ecstatic about that.

Now, we're just playing the waiting game as we wrap things up to close.
I love the cedar beam and the stone around the breakfast bar.

The high ceilings and numerous windows make this space very pleasant.
The kitchen opens into a fully-enclosed courtyard.
Don't worry, the accessories are not ours. They're leaving, but not soon enough :)
The house has several imported items in it, mostly sinks and tile. I love these unique characteristics.
