Punkin' Patch

I'm sure that pumpkin patches are as near and dear to your hearts as they are to mine. I just love all things holiday - pumpkin patches, Christmas tree farms, holiday light displays. I LOVE the holidays! This past Saturday, we joined some of my family at our local pumpkin patch. This was Brian's first experience at the old patch, and I'm not sure that he'd give it more than one thumb up, but it was an enjoyable time, to say the least.

Here we are by the giant ear of corn - a necessity at this fall frenzy!

Here is Hensley Grace as her Uncle Brian swaddled her in her sling.
And, here's old mischevious Brian as he swaddled the aforementioned child. Look at the face on that kid, would ya? I think he's having a bit too much fun with the papoose.

Brian and Maddox on the prowl for the perfect pumpkin.

By jove, we've got one!

Mom and Ashley. And yes, can you believe she had a baby 6 weeks ago?

My sister, Chelsey, and Hensley.

Oh yes, more breasts!

Mom and Hensley.

Here we are, just waitin' for the hayride to the pumpkin field.

After all that time at the patch, we had worked up quite the appetite. Here's Maddox with his enormous drink!

We survived a day at the farm! And, can't you see the relief in Brian's eyes?

Finally, we're ready for a nap!

I am ashamed to say that I don't think I was ever at a pumpkin patch - what is wrong with me? But it is definitely something I want to do w/ my kids someday. Looks like you guys had a great time!

A very festive day--how fun! I only got as far as the pumpkins in boxes at Walmart...not nearly as festive.

It's no wonder you are one of my very best friends. We are the same person. I looooove all things holiday as well. I tried to drag D to a pumpkin patch Saturday, but he had a huge test today and couldn't leave the house. I should have driven to Tyler and gone with YOU!

I'm with Erin-got my pumpkins at Walmart. We did go to a local pumpkin patch but their pumpkins were 4x the price of the ones at Walmart. Value won out over nostalgia. It's good that you feel up to enjoying all things holiday.

I heart the holidays too...Especially all of the Peanuts holiday specials. *sigh*

I laughed out loud at your cow breasts picture. You are so funny!

And if you don't mind me saying, you, your mom and sisters are all so beautiful! What a gorgeous family!

I'm glad you had such a nice day with your family, and that Brian survived the pumpkin patch.;)

I'm praying for you.
God Bless,
Amy:)

I can't believed she had a baby 6 weeks ago! If I thought it would be that easy for me, I don't think I've had so many reservations (ok, there's more to it than just that, but you know what I mean).

Glad you had a nice day!

Hi, I came across your blog from Whitney's. I am an OBU alum also but we didn't really know each other. I think I remember seeing you from working in the curriculum library and I think I had some classes with Ashley. Your niece and nephew are adorable. Could he look any more like his daddy? Anyways, love the pumpkin patch pics. and I will be praying for you as you go through your chemo.
