The fun began on Friday night with a Fondue Party at my sister and brother-in-law's house (Ashley and Brian). The party guests included Ashley and Brian (isn't it funny that we both married Brians?), their sweet child Maddox, and Josh and Lauren (my Brian's sister and soon to be brother-in-law). It was so fun! We dipped and dunked until we were stuffed to the brim. We had beef and chicken and pasta and veggies and breads and fruit and marshmallows, etc. etc. etc. This was great, and much cheaper than The Melting Pot, though that's a must do restaurant for everyone!

Then, on Saturday we made the hour drive to one of our favorite restaurants. Their burgers and fries are to-die-for, but their dessert selection is even better! Can you hear the calories piling on?
Here's Maddox with his XL hot dog.

I love good weekends with good food.
(And, for those of you wanting to know. I served homemade lasagna, asiago garlic bread, green salad, and homemade cheesecake for my MIL's birthday. And, I was just too busy to take pics. Maybe next time.)

Um, since WHEN is a childs burger larger than an adult burger!? That is unreal! Oh, I laughed when I saw that picture. I also laughed because you are still ordering kids meals like you did in college - as I am sure you will do until you are well into your old age.
Looks like a great weekend! :)
OMG, that burger is HUGE! And that dessert....I'm drooling!!!
Take care and hugz,
Michele
Mmmm, I love me a good burger!
Thanks for the pics, now I'm hungry, lol :)

I think you are going to start scaring your family as you are now taking pictures of their every move. You may become me. That is even scarier. I really want a husband now. So jealous.
Now, I am completely starving!:)
I have never seen such a HUGE hot dog or hamburger.
And that dessert....I can feel my thighs getting fatter.;)

I love to fondue! So much fun, but a lot of work with all the cutting and preparation of sauces, etc.
It's getting close to dinner time and now I have a taste for a big burger and fries!
Oh my that turtle cake...whoa...showstopper. Worth the hour drive!
You all look like you have so much fun, that's wonderful!
Also, the Melting Pot, you just reminded me to make another reservation.
