Back to School

Oh my goodness! It's time to go back to school (the above shot is of my school). I must say, I have enjoyed every second this summer of being a stay at home wife and dog mom. I've been able to exercise, do my Bible study, clean, cook, do yardwork, and do laundry at my leisure. The dogs have gotten ample attention. I've been refreshed and renewed when my husband gets home from work, so I can greet him cheerfully when he walks in the door. But, all of those wonderful things are coming to a crashing halt in just a few short hours. Tomorrow I must return back to the workforce. I'm trying my best not to go kicking and screaming but they were really on to something in the days of yore when men went out to earn the living and women stayed home to maintain the home and all that entails. The stress is so much less when someone can look after the personal affairs of the family. Oh well, such is life. Wish me luck as I return!

I agree WHOLE heartedly, woman. I got to stay home for three months after we were first married and it was so delightful. And I think we were both less stressed. I got to care for my husband better and the house was always immaculate and the laundry was always done. And there was ALWAYS a hot meal on the supper table for him when he got home. Oh how those house days are long gone. :*( I want them to come back soon and very soon! It was THE life.

I agree also...but the problem with me when I stay home, is that I want to go shopping and junking...and I wouldn't have any money if I wasn't working.

So I guess off to work I go every day!!!

Michele

I want to wish you good luck for your first day back.
Just think of your interesting days at school as plenty of blog worthy material.:)
I look forward to hearing your stories.
As a homeschooling mom of two teenage boys, I salute you!
Teaching is a very difficult job, but oh so unbelievably important!
You're a gem!

God Bless,
Amy:)

You know, I always wanted to be a teacher growing up. My sister and I played school from the time we came home from school till we went to bed at night. And then for some reason, that is NOT what I went to college for. And I have to say, now that I am on the work force and working 40+ hours a week, ALL year long, I ask myself, "why in the WORLD didn't I become a school teacher"? Ugg...oh well...like you said, such is life...All the more reason to start a family and stay home to raise children! Good luck!

We don't know each other, but we share a common friend who gave us both the "I love your blog" award. I followed the link from "Bee" to your site.

I hope your return to the classroom has been as much fun as mine has been. Just keep reminding yourself of the good times, those really do outweigh the bad.

That, and take a hot shower after the really hard days...
